Friday – Archangel Anael’s Day

Anael – Here in male form

It’s Friday, Archangel Anael’s day. Before sitting down to type these thoughts out, I lit some rose incense in honour of The Rose Angel.

Unlike for some of the other Archangels, I didn’t manage to find any prayers to Anael Online. That’s fine. I prefer to use my own words when I pray anyway. Apparently, you’re not meant to pray to the angels at all. Prayer is reserved for God alone, but I think that’s mincing words. As far as I’m concerned, any time I address a Divine Messenger, it’s prayer.

Worship, on the other hand, is definitely something I reserve for God. By the way, don’t hold your breath waiting for me to catch up with the rest of the New Age community which seems to prefer ‘The Universe’ or ‘Source’ to ‘God.’ In some ways, my beliefs are very New Age and in some ways they are more ancient the Library of Alexandria.

Having my Ascendant in Gemini and my Moon in Pisces makes it easy for me to mix and match. Also, my outlook as a Cappie Sun sign is that if it works and I can use it, I will.

Hence, I’m always looking for the most straight forward and effective way of doing things. This doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy ritual… but any time, it gets too elaborate, I start squirming.

Connecting with the angels shouldn’t feel like a chore or as if you have to jump hoops. Make it as simple or as elaborate as you wish but know that the angels aren’t impressed with pomp and circumstance. A simple flower will do… or a stick of incense… or a candle… or a crystal… none of it matters as long as your intention is pure and resonates with the vibrations of Love and Light.

Archangel Anael invites us to open up to the abundance of the pink and green rays:

* Beauty
* Love
* Harmony
* Romance
* Passion
* Creativity
* Nurturing
* Sensuality

Which of these qualities would you like more of? Tonight is the New Moon as well as Anael’s day, so use this time to sow the seeds of love and beauty!
