Passion and Our Sense of Romantic Entitlement

WARNING! I’ll be stating the bleedin’ obvious in this post. The purpose of stating the bleedin’ obvious is that I have realised that I’m not the only slow learner on this planet and that we all need reminders.

There is love and then there is passion.

It’s not about strength of attachment or how long you have known the other person, but how strong the impact was they had when you ‘crashed’ into each other. That fated feeling is there for a reason. These are the souls you have a contract with.

These souls have the ability to make time stand still and turn colours more vibrant… and no, they don’t have this effect on everyone… But to you they are the flame and you are the moth. Resistance is futile. And you may find yourself shaking as you are drawn to the flame…

Prepare to be consumed. Prepare to be haunted in your dreams (especially if you turn and run). And if you listen closely, you can hear Cupid shaking with laughter – delighted with his aim.

It doesn’t mean that you are destined to be together or that they owe you anything. It’s just part of the human condition and you’re better off not taking it personally.

Yeah, I know that sounds like a real oxymoron when you have just met someone and it feels like life finally has meaning because of them.

However, if you do take it personally and try to make sense of it logically, the only conclusion you will be able to reach is that they came to wound you… to cut you and make you bleed…

Passion comes from the Latin word for suffering. And some wounds never heal. But you have the choice to make your suffering meaningful by offering it up as a sacrifice of service to others.

That is all. And thus endeth all sense of entitlement.

Arcturian Blessings,
