Moon + Heart + Guardian Angel = Light of Spirit and Compassion brought into the spotlight of the World of Tarot

What happened last week when I briefly rejoined the online Tarot & Cartomancy community was a huge eye-opener to me. It brought me a lot of pain but I’m happy to say that in the end, the wound inflicted on me by backstabbing served to flood my heart with light and that light is now spreading…

For me, it was going full circle karmically, as the person who stabbed me in the back was one of the behind-the-scenes ringleaders and ‘principal victim’ in the drama that turned into the witch hunt on Janet Boyer. Yes, the humble karmic pie was bitter but as a true daughter of Saturn (Capricorn), I asked for a second helping to make sure I had learned my lesson properly. I am truly grateful that I was given an opportunity to see how this person moved to pull strings behind the scenes and to have her show her face like this because that meant I could free myself of the burden of confusion of what had happened with the Janet Boyer Affair.

Finding myself pulled into this affair just over a year ago was a bit like waking up in the middle of someone else’s nightmare. In a nightmare, it’s all adrenaline and very little thought. We become ruled by the gut and this is how the one staying centered in mind pulls the strings. He or she appeals to our emotions and our instinct to protect those we love. The lesson for me is to make sure I have all facts on the table and that heart and mind are aligned with gut before I take any kind of action.

The rot in the community became apparent to me not long after I had posted a couple of posts on the Tarotize blog to help, defend and protect those I believed were the ‘victims’ in this. I could see the strong tide turning and ‘politicians’ of the community using this situation to their advantage. Not long after I realised this, I took the posts down… but I have to admit that the light switch hadn’t been flipped yet even so.

I have learned now that the best intentions in the world can create a lot of pain and destruction. I have also learned that it’s not the outspoken members of the community that we need to beware of – it’s the ones that move behind the scenes, pulling strings and sending Chinese whispers around in the form of inflammatory emails and private Facebook messages.

To purge the rot, it needs to be all brought out into the light. Tarot is supposed to be a tool for personal and spiritual development.

By the fruit, ye shall know the tree.

I posted the following status update on my Facebook page this morning: 

After publishing a Public Apology to Janet on my Tarotize blog http://www.tarotize.com/2013/02/a-public-apology-to-janet-boyer.html I have had some more thoughts on what actually happened. I guess you could say it’s a case of 20/20 hindsight vision – in terms of my own role, at least. And for my part, I am genuinely sorry.

But I also think I’m getting a handle on the dynamics at play within the Tarot community and they are not pretty. There is a lot of politics and a lot of sensitive, over-compensating egos which create a general atmosphere of tetchiness. Once you know who’s who, you quickly get the feeling that you need to walk on eggshells to not hurt anybody’s feelings. It’s a bit like being in a co-dependent relationship with lots and lots of people online.

I vote for moving on from that now and a big part in moving on would be forgiveness. Now, that I have woken up from the nightmare that was being pulled into ‘Janet Boyer affair’ I’m not sure why she would be blacklisted and prohibited from practicing her profession when we are quick enough to forgive politicians and businessmen who use their power to ruin our lives. 

It was and still is a witch hunt on one woman who has been ascribed power to ruin people’s lives which she simply does not have. It’s called a ‘projection’ – look up your Jungian Shadow, peeps!

Unless we put the end to this, the rot in the community is going to keep spreading. Sane people will abandon ship or constantly find themselves pulled into politics and power play that none of us really want any part of. We have come together for a love of Tarot. Let’s keep it that way.

Please know this: I’m not blind to who acted with pure intentions and who used the Janet Boyer affair to further their own cause. The latter group of people are the same ones who have a vested interested in keeping the witch fires burning and they will always look for another pawn… 

Who will be next? Possibly me. An outspoken woman is always an easy target. Haven’t we learned anything since the middle ages?
